The Black Hills

This summer of 2014, we visited South Dakota seeing just about everything there in the vicinity of the Black Hills.   One stop was at a gold mine where we were required to don hard hats.  Here's Ginnie, looking as fetching as ever in her hard hat!
The Black Sea

In November of 2014, we participated in a cruise of the Eastern Mediterranean Sea and the Black Sea.  The cruise originated in Civitavecchia, the port that has served Rome since ancient times, and visited Italian and Mediterranean ports and cities such as Naples; Pompei, Sorrento; the Ile de Capri; Messina, Sicily and Mount Etna; Malta; Dubrovnik, Venice;  Corfu, Greece; and then the Straits of the Dardanelles and Bosporus before arriving in Istabul, Turkey where this photograph was taken.  This is Ginnie waiting outside of the Blue Mosque before being escorted within.  We were all required to remove our shoes and women were required to wear head scarves.  Ginnie had bought this scarf for the occasion and I think that it makes her look outstanding...
